As part of our continued investment in the metalwork department we have recently taken delivery of the huge tube laser which is the final piece of the puzzle allowing us to make all components fully in house. This not only saves costs on having to outsource but also time in relying on third parties. What this means to you is both small and large projects can be delivered on quicker lead times as well as improved product design through quicker R&D processes.
In our continued efforts to reduce our impact on the environment we are stopping the manual cleaning of metalwork before powder-coating takes place, and replacing with an automated water pre-wash. The old method which uses dichloromethane, toxic to humans and the environment, is replaced with a bio-friendly alternative that’s safe enough to wash down the drain.
The new in-line pre-wash system is up and running one week earlier than scheduled meaning any affected orders can now be powder-coated and delivered over the next few days. Please contact the sales office for more information.
We are proud to announce we now have a brand new robot welder which will increase our metalwork capacity by 60%. Capable of automatically welding up to 400 desk legs per day with CNC precision, the new welder will be up and running by the end of September and complement our new tube laser arriving at the end of 2020.

This year, instead of sending gifts out to our customers, we are donating to local charities. Last week we spent an afternoon filling a trolley with toys to donate to Viking FM's Cash for Kids #missionchristmas toy appeal. Cash for Kids is wonderful organisation dedicated to supporting sick, disabled and disadvantaged children through grant and gift giving.
We're also donating to Barnardo's, their continued dedication and hard work has helped hundreds of thousands of children grow up happy and healthy.
